In preparation for a trip to England, we have created a website. This was a command from school. We are from Holland but we want the English man to understand it to. This is how it works: we had to look for information and find the difference and the agreements between a poor city in Holland, Eindhoven,  and a poor city in London, Newham. We had 3 components that we have to find more about. The first is some facts about the city’s. Like the location, the population,  the income etc. Next we had to explore about the facts and numbers of London. Also about the boroughs and Inner/Outer London. And about the welfare in London, when we went to London we had to interview people on the street and ask about their opinion about the welfare. The third component is about how far is Newham a  deprived area. On our trip we visited Newham and took interviews on the street. Newham was quite shocking for us, there were a lot of poor people and they looked so different than the people in London.

Now I’m going to tell something about our trip to England. We went from Monday up to Friday. We were very excited to go. We gathered at 6:00 in school and from there on we went with a big bus. Then we had to cross the North Sea with a large boat. We stayed at a park with a house for the boys and one for the girls. We had to kind of survival instead of relaxing. The first day we went to Canterbury, we visited the cathedral and we then had to interview the people on the street. We were a bit insecure about our English but the people were very nice. The first night we made a campfire and from then on we did it every night. The next day we went on an adventure. For our subject biology we went for a long walk through the nature. It was a beautiful day so we were lucky. On Wednesday we went to London. In this big city we had our free time. We did some shopping and eat there some dinner. In the night we went to a little church near our residence. And we sang songs with some people from there.  The next day we went to Newham. That was a whole experience cause we’ve never been to a borough like that. The people there looked poor and it was so densely built. We also had to take interviews there and those interviews were so different in comparison with the ones from London. Then that night we had to pack our bags because we were going to leave the next day. The following morning we drove to a castle somewhere and visited it. Then we return to school. And that was our trip to England.

I hope you enjoyed reading this.
